The Regional Government Council, meeting in plenary on March 19, 2026, decided to mandate the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure, Pedro Alexandre Fagundes de Freitas Rodrigues, to represent the Autonomous Region of Madeira at the general assemblies of two important road concessionaires in the region.
The official has the authority to intervene and vote on the various items on the agenda, which include the analysis of the 2025 financial statements, the allocation of results, and the appraisal of the management and supervision of the respective companies.
The Regional Government has appointed new leadership in Health and Commerce, and renewed a position in Agriculture.
Dr. Rita Brazao de Freitas has been appointed as the Director of Planning, Methodology, Studies and Dissemination Services at DREM.
